Travel Bug Pictures 2012 December
17-Kansas: "Your TB has been looking for a special cache to stay in during this trip, but the TBs are missing from almost every cache. Rather than letting your TB stay in an unsafe cache, GeoPig made arrangements for your TB to stay with a local cacher until he can find an appropriate cache for it."

A Fairy named Debbie                Kansas
" Land of Oz in Liberal, KS"
13-New Mexico: "GeoPig and the TBs started out the day by saying farewell to a couple TBs at the New Mexico State Police. No, they weren't going to TB jail. The TBs decided they wanted to stay in a cache there. Then they began another long day of driving. The TBs kept busy by getting to know the new TBs who had joined them on the trip."

14-Oklahom
a: "The next stop was a marker at the corners of New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. The TBs wanted to have their picture taken with the monument, but it was too dusty for them to get out of the truck."

15-Texas: "Then it was on to a cache down the road so the TBs could mark Texas off their state/country checklist."

16-Kansas: "GeoPig stopped in in Liberal, KS to see Land of Oz and Dorothy's house from the Wizard of Oz. The TBs were able to stretch their legs as they roamed around the grounds. Then GeoPig took the TBs to this smelly cache. At one point, GeoPig passed out clothespins for their noses."

11-Wyoming
: "This was a very slow day for the TBs. Nothing interesting during the drive from Rapid City, SD to Cheyenne, WY. Most of them used this as an opportunity to get caught up on some much-needed sleep. GeoPig took everyone to a great dinner at the Outback Steakhouse in Cheyenne. After dinner the TBs found a couple caches then went back to the hotel and played in the pool until they were exhausted."

12-Colorado: "The first stop today was to see the stuffed penguin at the Americana Inn. GeoPig read about it on Roadside America. Two TBs decided to stay behind in the cache. Then they headed over to the Cheyenne webcam before starting their long drive to Denver. The TBs loved seeing the tumbleweeds blow across the highway. GeoPig and the TBs stopped for lunch at the Denver Hard Rock Cafe then they found another webcam and a couple caches. One of the caches was named GeoPigs so GeoPig just couldn't resist finding that one. Everyone finally ended up in Raton, NM. They had a quick dinner at Subway and turned
 in early."

A Fairy named Debbie                South Dakota
" Mount Rushmore"
9-Montana: "GeoPig and the TBs finally reached their destination in Montana - the closest cache to the border. It was a fun drive up the hill to find the cache, and the TBs got another chance to stretch their legs before getting into the car. The drive back to the hotel in South Dakota got pretty boring, so they looked for anything interesting. The only thing they could find was a life-size t-rex on the hillside."

10-South Dakota: "GeoPig took the TBs to Mt. Rushmore today. Although it was extremenly windy, It was an awesome sight. Each of the TBs had their picture taken with the monument. Then it was on to see the Chief Crazy Horse monument. The TBs saw an informative video of the history first. When they came out, it looked like a blizzard, and they couldn't see anything. Luckily the snow finally stopped, and they were able to see the incredible monument. GeoPig then made a quick stop at Flintstones Bedrock City. GeoPig took the TBs to a nice dinner at TGIFriday's. Afterwards, the TBs begged to stop at a casino. They're on every corner, and the TBs were very curious about what was in a casino. GeoPig finally took them into a casino close to the hotel. Unfortunately, none of the TBs could climb the stools to reach the slot machines, so they all came back to the hotel to pack and get ready for the trip tomorrow."

"Corn Palace"
6-South Dakota: "GeoPig started the day by taking all of the TBs out for breakfast. They kept the waitresses on their toes trying to serve everyone. The next stop was the famous Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD. The TBs had their picture taken with the Palace, saw the official mascot, bought souvenirs, and saw a jackalope. The next stop was a tiny church in a rest area on I-90. GeoPig had stop in Wall, SD to see the famous Wall Drugs. When the TBs saw the store, it was chaos. They were running in every direction not knowing what to look at first. GeoPig was able to snap a picture of the town, but she couldn't locate the TBs for a photo op. She finally managed to round up everyone and continue their trip to Rapid City. The TBs were very tired after all of the excitement and turned in early."

7-South Dakota: "The TBs decided to take a side-trip through North Dakota and into Montana today. The first stop was a quick cache at one of GeoPig's favorite eateries. Then is was on to the Center of the Nation monument in Belle Fourche, SD where GeoPig took a nice picture of the monument. After this stop, the TBs quickly learned that all they were going to see was cows and fields - lots of them. So they played car-games to amuse themselves during the ride."

8-North Dakota: "The next stop was this cache on the North Dakota border. GeoPig decided it was time to take pictures of the TBs with the Welcome to North Dakota sign and give them some time to stretch their legs before continuing the long trip ahead of them."

"Jolly Green Giant"

A Fairy named Debbie                Minnesota
"Ear of corn water tower"
4-Wisconsin: "The next stop was Madison, WI for lunch at Ella's Animatronic Deli. Everyone watched the mechanical toys hanging from the ceiling and on the walls whirling above their heads while they enjoyed a wonderful salad with baked goat cheese, cranberries, and walnuts. GeoPig couldn't help herself and indulged in a fully loaded hot dog. Everyone shared a turtle sundae on grilled pound cake for dessert. Even though they were all stuffed, they made a quick stop at Ehlenbach's Cheese Chalet where each TB picked out something for a snack tonight. GeoPig drove to the Wisconsin Dells to see the upside-down White House and play mini golf, but the the places were closed. So they continued to the hotel."

5-Minnesota: "Today GeoPig and the TBs made 2 related stops. The first was to see a water tower painted like an ear of corn that used to be at the Libby's plant. It's now owned by another company. The second stop was in Blue Earth, MN to see the 55 foot tall Jolly Green Giant statue. During their drive in Minnesota, the TBs were fascinated by all of the windmills. They were everywhere. GeoPig wanted to take the TBs to a park containing large disgarded advertising figures, but the park was closed. They did get a couple pictures from the road. After the long drive, the TBs had a quick dinner and went back to the room for some relaxtion."
1-Michigan: "Your TB has been invited to join GeoPig and a group of TBs on her annual Thanksgiving vacation. They will be geocaching and seeing interesting/weird sites from Roadside America. GeoPig will also stop at every Hard Rock Café she can find. Along the way, your TB may find an interesting cache and wish to stay  there."

2-Michigan: "The first stop was lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe at the Four Winds Casino. The TBs played a few slot machines while there were there. They found this cache then continued on to their next destination."

3-Illinois: "GeoPig & the TBs got up early this morning to do some sighseeing before leaving the Rockford area. They saw the birthplace of the sock monkey and the  Rockmen Guardians."
