JANUARY:
Apparently, nothing happened in Puerto Rico in January.
Nothing Luma and Carrie can remember anyway.
They did go to the Calle San Sebastian Festival and
met all kinds of exciting people:

Javier and Amy at Georgie's:
(There's some crazy story about how Javier's girlfriend got mad and stormed out...whatever...)

FEBRUARY:
Luma remembers that February was an exciting month and Carrie agrees.
It started when I went to the Arecibo Observatory with Joy and Chris:
(The beginning of the movie Contact was filmed there!)

We stopped on the way back to take pictures of waves crashing on rocks:

Carrie's parents came February 8th. They thoroughly enjoyed helping
Carrie and I with our "Day in the Life on the Oregon Trail". See how
much fun Carrie and I have in school? We're not even pretending!:

Here we are at the Conquistador--once again!
It was Carrie's turn to make a fool of herself--but, she didn't:

We didn't actually stay there--we snuck in everyday with
Carrie's parents (who were staying there.) It was a relaxing
weekend. We had the pleasure of meeting an Irish Galic football
player and partied with the 'rents. Except for being stood-up
by Galahad (who made Luma sad) we had a good weekend.

Our next visitor was Nancy. The first incident that made Nancy and
Luma's vacation a blast was meeting Alejandro Fernandez. They were
planning on stalking him--so when he just showed up at the
El San Juan--it made their job a lot easier!:

By the way--Alejandro Fernandez is a famous Mexican Ranchero singer.
They also went to his concert.

Here we are at Lupi's. (Our favorite place.).

See Luma's "boyfriend" behind her? Well, he was her
"boyfriend" until she dissed him at the afterhours bar when
she met Santos Inocentes (an Argentinian Techno Band).

Then Joanie came with her friend Dave. Here we all are at Georgie's:

Afterwards we went to Arroyo to see Pedro's band play.
(Carrie, Dave, Loanie and I were there a couple of days earlier when
we found oueselves on the out-skirts of a festival riot. Scary!
Carrie and I almost knocked down the sound table.)
Nancy took more pictures----hopefully we'll get them soon!

Celebrating Joanie's birthday:

Dirty dancing with Dave:

HA HA!
Someone else got in trouble instead of me!!
Every teacher got this note in her mailbox after Carrie switched
her Spanish time with another teacher without permission:

Carrie wants me to mention that it could've very easily been me--
since the switch was "Oregon Trail" related. But why nitpick?
It was her. Not me. For once.

That's all for Feburary. We were too tired and broke to do much else.
