Did vouchers pass?  When is the Florida recount going to be finished?
Sila won governor in Puerto Rico.  I think she is the first female governor
here.
Luma and I were involved in two different rallys... both by mistake.  One 40
minute rally for Pesquera, and a 2 hour parade for Sila.  Everything shut
down here on election day.   Puerto Ricans take politics very seriously.
Everybody knew what was going on and had an opinion.  We didn't take any
pictures though for the webpage.
Interesting story... Luma washed pumpkin seeds from her Jack-O-Latern in our
bathroon sink, and now we have pumpkins growing from the drain.  Every
morning we wake up and have to pull the stalks out of the drain!!  I don't
know how long its going to last... she said she dropped a lot of seeds.

EMAIL FROM AMY:
We had a very interesting Dominican vacation.  Most of which, unfortunately,
is not suitable for print.  Basically the ferry ride sucked... 12 hours from
8:00pm - 8:00am with no cabin, no blanket, and nowhere to sleep but on the
deck.  We felt very much like the third class ticket holders from the
Titanic -- but we slept under the life boats, and on top of the life-jacket
containers -- so maybe our lives would have been saved if the ship sank.  We
spent most of our time sleeping, eating, reading, and sitting out by the
pool.  The resort reminded us of the movie Dirty Dancing with all of the
"fun activities" but other than one unfortunate water aerobics incident, we
were able to avoid all of it.  We did take one tour of the capital, Santo
Domingo, where we learned about Columbus and saw a lot of the Colonial
buildings.  But other than that we did nothing.  It was very relaxing...
when we weren't freaking out about getting to the ferry or arguing with the
hotel workers.  The beach was nice and the resort was nice, but we decided
we prefer Puerto Rico! : )
