EMAIL FROM AMY:
The weekend was great!  We spent a lot of time relaxing by the beach. It was
even more beautiful in Culebra than in Maunabo.  The water was so clear you
could see to the bottom!  I went snorkling -- it was fun once I got the hang
of it -- but Luma saw a jellyfish and we all freaked out. :) The only bad
thing was the misquitos... we were eaten alive! Saturday we went to a dance
club called Bateys and I had an opportunity to practice marangue. We finally
got a phone!!!!  But Luma said the long distance doesn't work.  Our number
is (787) 864-4567.  I think we can receive long distance messages, I don't
know yet.  The computer is still down at work, but Luma and I are going to
work on getting email at home.   I'll have pictures from Culebra sometime soon.

Rincon  is on the west coast of Puerto Rico. It is known as Surfing Town.
(No, Amy didn't surf.)

10/20  For Carolyn's Birthday:
Carolyn and Luma  met Victor Manuelle, famous salsa singer at the festival in  Salinas.

Hyatt Regency Cerromar Beach Hotel with Carrie's parents,
who were there for a convention.

Luma and Joanie met Chayanne.  They got a kiss, an autograph, and a picture.
